This evening the City of Baltimore 911 Center began to experience technical difficulties that are causing a delay in the ability to answer calls. The city immediately implemented standard contingency procedures to ensure calls are answered as quickly as possible. If you call 911 and hear an automated message please stay on the line and wait for your call to be answered.
If you do not hear the automated message, call back immediately until you are able to get through. Verizon is working with the city to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
We ask for the public’s continued patience as we work to resolve this issue.
Thank You All,
Office of the Mayor
